The CEO of IRI Railway Company in an interview at the Press Expo which was held in Tehran recently told our reporter about signing the contract for the purchase of rail as; in the last few days the rail production line which was inaugurated with the attendance of the First Vice President and prior to which the contract was signed with ESCO as well.
He further continued; in this contract, it was agreed that ESCO would deliver 10,000 tons of rail to the Railway Co. on monthly basis by the end of the current Iranian year which will amount to 40,000 tons totally.
The Railway Co. Managing Director in response to a question asked by our reporter whether Railway Company would sign another contract with ESCO, replied: we have the plan to purchase 100,000 tons of rails UIC60 in our agenda for the next Iranian year 1396.
